About Earth Keepers

Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

Earth Keepers was created to support homeschool families seeking meaningful, outdoor-based learning experiences rooted in curiosity, creativity, and connection to the natural world.

Our program offers seasonal, part-time enrichment sessions that invite children and teens to learn through hands-on activities, observation, and shared experience in an outdoor environment.

Our Approach

Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

We believe learning happens best when children are:

  • Engaged with their surroundings
  • Encouraged to ask questions
  • Supported by caring adults
  • Given opportunities to learn through doing

Earth Keepers sessions emphasize experiential learning rather than formal classroom instruction. Activities are adaptable, responsive to the group, and grounded in nature and place.

Our Commitment

Our Philosophy

Our Commitment

Earth Keepers is committed to:

  • Respect for children, families, and the land
  • Creating a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Operating at a scale appropriate for a rural property
  • Maintaining clear communication with families and the surrounding community

OUR PROGRAMS

Who we serve

Earth Keepers welcomes homeschool families with children and teens who enjoy learning in an outdoor setting. Sessions are grouped by age range and are offered on a limited, seasonal basis.

Families remain responsible for their child’s overall education and homeschooling requirements. Earth Keepers provides enrichment experiences chosen by families as part of their broader homeschool plan.

What we offer

Earth Keepers provides part-time, seasonal enrichment sessions focused on:

  • Nature study and ecological awareness
  • Outdoor and wilderness skills
  • Ancestral hand craft skills and projects
  • Plant knowledge and wildcrafting
  • Creative arts, music, and storytelling
  • Cooperative games and group projects

Learning takes place  outdoors and emphasizes curiosity, confidence, and respectful relationships with the land and one another.

Program Structure

  • We have seasonal sessions offered in spring and fall for two different age groups.
  • We offer occasional short summer programs
  • Programs meet one day a  week per group with limited daytime hours for two seasonal sessions.
  • Groups are intentionally kept to a manageable size
  • Multiple adult instructors are present at all times

Earth Keepers is designed to complement family-directed homeschooling, not replace it.

A program for middle and high school age teens that brings an adult-level of wild crafts, folk arts, wilderness skills and challenges to a small group of engaged young adults.

Our  Earth Keeper program for elementary age kids full of wild crafting, botany, music, wilderness skills, and creative arts that follows the wheel of the year in our wondrous forest classroom.

By participating in Earth Keepers sessions, families support a shared outdoor learning community

Earth Keepers provides seasonal outdoor learning experiences for homeschool families. It is not a licensed school or childcare facility and does not offer full-time or year-round instruction. If you have questions about upcoming sessions or whether Earth Keepers is a good fit for your family, we’re happy to connect.
